If you check all these boxes, the issue appears cosmetic — no repair needed yet, just check in twice a year.

Is the crack thinner than a nickel?

Has the crack stayed the same size for 12+ months?

Are both sides of the crack level (no step or height difference)?

Is it in a low-traffic area (like an unused path or corner)?

GRADE 2: Preventative Repair Recommended - Fix It Early While It's Still Simple

This is a stable surface crack.
It looks worse due to the broom finish, but it’s cosmetic only.

🟡 Grade 2: Hairline Crack in a Valley — Hidden Risk

Looks cosmetic — but the surface is dipping. Therefore, it's classified as a developing risk.
